I feel that 10th grade will be a lot more challenging as far as the courses that I will take, the workload, and the more in-depth projects. I know that there will be many struggles that I will have to overcome in 10th grade, similar to what I did this year, but the tips and solutions that I have learned as a 9th grader will definitely equip me with tools that will push me to work even harder next year. Science Fair Closing Argument, Unit 5 Quadratics, and The Closing Argument Oral Presentation have each individually helped me obtain or improve in several qualities. Science Fair has helped me to become a better writer and presenter which will majorly effect my future years for the better. The Unit 5 Quadratics process helped me to use the tools of making corrections into notes and extra practice with a teacher as ways to overcome struggles. Lastly, the Closing Argument has equipped me with not only more practice in presentation skills, but also experience with persuasive speeches. Through all of this, I have had to rely the most on persistence. Without persistence, I would have never had the motivation to keep on when I was challenged. If I gave up, I wouldn’t have grown through these experiences. Persistence for everything I do is the key. If I can have the drive and motivation, I know I will succeed. I will use persistence majorly in 10th grade to provide that drive and motivation to keep on when it is not easy. Overall, I have grown the most in persistence. Without this, I would not be able to accomplish any of my goals.

Coming into 9th grade, I wasn’t majorly challenged in other grades as extensively as I was this year. I was looking for a challenge in high school that I could learn from to prepare and propel me into future years. In August, I still struggled with speaking in front of groups of people. I even struggled in class discussions at the beginning of the year. Throughout the year I have experienced opportunities that grew my knowledge through taking honors math and science, speaking skills, and first time experiences such as Science fair and participating in a mock court trial as a prosecuting attorney. These instances were very stressful to maintain an excellent grade, which was my personal goal, but I worked very hard throughout each process and put in my best ability. Through this I was not only successful in keeping a excellent grade but also growing in qualities that I will need for 10th grade, such as presentation skills and organizational skills. Looking back, each project and assignment from grammar exercises to presenting in front of professionals has changed who I am as a person. Next year, I will approach struggles and difficulties more effectively than I did because this year has taught me how to manage stress and challenges. I am a more prepared student for the future because I was challenged this year through The Closing Argument Oral Presentation, Science Fair, and Unit 5 Quadratics, which helped me to put persistence into action.
